SUMMARY:We Are Hiring! Part-time Pianist!
DESCRIPTION:Fletcher’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Durham\, NC is seeking a Part-Time Pianist to help lead our congregation in worship that celebrates God’s grace and invites all to encounter the life found in Christ. The pianist provides music for Sunday worship\, including hymns\, choir and soloist accompaniment\, and special musical selections\, as well as preludes\, offertories\, and postludes that reflect the worship theme and liturgical season. This role also includes accompanying for special services such as Christmas\, Easter\, weddings\, and funerals\, and collaborating closely with the Pastor and Choir Director to plan meaningful worship experiences. Candidates should be proficient in piano performance and sight-reading\, familiar with (or willing to learn) Methodist hymnody\, and have a heart for worship and collaboration. The position averages 8-10 hours per week with a starting salary of $10\,000 annually and four Sundays off per year.
